Looking at the prices, you can see Vista is rather expensive especially if you want the Ultimate Edition. At this time I would say hold off and keep your XP SP2, its been proven and one of the better Microsoft Operating System. There is really no driving need to upgrade. Vista has a cooler GUI and totes better security features, but its rather new and untested. Vista also demands you upgrade your hardware while there is still no software demand for it. Microsoft is including Vista with all new system, so hold off until you get a new system that can actually support it.
